Maternity Department

Revised visiting hours as from the 10th May 2021

The visiting restriction within Maternity have been reviewed and as of Monday 26th April

St Catherines and St Angela’s ward Partners 1 hour of visiting 19.00-20.00

Labour ward stays the same – partners present for labour and delivery – Once you are admitted into a single room on the Labour ward your partner is welcome.

FAU Anomaly scans Partners to attend from Monday 26th April

Birthing partners of women in labour may attend for the birth.

Birthing partners can attend a caesarean section done under regional anaesthesia. This will be subject screening questions and wearing PPE in the theatre.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Only one parent can visit at a time.

Fathers’ visits are limited to 30 minutes.

Parents must wear a face mask in the clinical area.

Grandparents/children are not allowed to visit the NICU

The current visiting restrictions are kept under review and will be updated in line with national recommendations
